• Start editing a form



• Right click on the Containers section in the Toolbox and click choose items



• Check the RapidLayoutPanel item and press OK. (If you can’t see it then browse to ‘C:\Program Files\Jalindi Software\Rapid Layout .Net 2005\RapidLayoutNet2005.dll’)



• Drag the RapidLayoutPanel onto the form. You will be presented with the Jalindi License Editor



• Click on the Demo License button to add a demostration license. This is a time limited license



• Enter an email address if you wish to receive updates about Rapid Layout.NET and click on ‘OK’ to activate the license



• Now that you have a valid license click on ‘Close’



• Click on the small arrow at the top right of the panel and select ‘Dock in Parent Container’



• Open up the common controls in the Toolbox and drag a button onto the form.



• You are now using Rapid Layout .NET. Congratulations!

Installation instructions

Install a copy of Microsoft Visual Studio 2003/2005. You can get a copy of a Visual Studio 2005 express edition for free at http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express

• If you have installed a non J# express edition then install the J# redistributable runtime. You can get it at http://www.jalindi.com/rlinstall/vjredist.exe
• Install Rapid Layout .NET. Open up the zip file and run the enclosed .MSI file.
• Open up Visual Studio and create a new ‘windows application’ project.
